Speaking to the weekly mass meeting at the Uhuru House in St. Petersburg, Florida on July 16, 2006, African People's Socialist Party Chairman Omali Yeshitela denounces current Israeli aggression in the Middle East, and discusses the growing Arab resistance movement in the context of nation-building. He explains the African process of consolidating national identity and presents a well-documented review and analysis of the historical contention between Garvey's "Africa for Africans, At Home and Abroad" Movement vs. the Pan-Africanist Movement of W.E.B. DuBois. This speech is being broadcast as part of a series intended to provide ideological preparation for participants and observers in the upcoming 5th Congress of the African People's Socialist Party.
