Nwangaza is a veteran of SNCC's Atlanta Project, which first put forward the demand for Black Power. She currently heads WMXP Radio and the Malcolm X Center for Self-Determination in Greenville, South Carolina, where the Malcolm X Festival will take place on May 16.
